My last post, "Ladies, Ditch the Bra" was primarily for the ladies (and the men who love them) so this one, from Dr. Stephen Chaney, is primarily for the men and the women who love them!
A few months ago, I came across an article entitled, "Boycott of Komen Foundation and American Cancer Society Don't Send Them Money, Send Them your Bra! That article was from the Killer Culture website and a book entitled "Dress to Kill" by medical anthropologists Sidney Ross Singer and Soma Grismaijer.
I added the article to my ever-growing list of "things to share" and just wasn't able to get to it. Several weeks later, as a result of research I am doing on a completely different subject, I connected with Louise Kuo Habakus, co-author of Vaccine Epidemic, Executive Director and Co-Founder of Center for Personal Rights and Executive Director of Fearless Parent. Louise does a tremendous amount of research and writes a terrific blog for Fearless Parent. I subscribed to Fearless Parent and what should appear in my inbox but a post entitled, "Ladies Ditch the Bra" which has received a ton of "likes" and "shares" on Facebook!
So, thank you Louise for writing this article so that I didn't have to write one of my own; and for those of you who haven't already read "Ladies, Ditch the Bra", click here and -- as Louise suggests -- unhook, get comfortable and read on! P.S. Don't forget to subscribe to Fearless Parent for more terrific articles and information!

From Dr. Steve Chaney . . . Many of you may remember the headlines from a few months ago: “Multivitamins Are a Waste Of Money”. Those headlines received a lot of press coverage at the time. But what if those headlines were wrong? In today’s issue of “Health Tips From the Professor”, I’m going to share the other side of the story – the one you never heard about.
Just this morning a new friend and I were talking about healthy foods -- one of my favorite topics! The subject of hummus came up, so I though I would share my homemade hummus recipe. In this and all the recipes that I will share I recommend choosing organic ingredients as much as possible. This is a simple, quick and easy recipe that is economical and DELICIOUS!
