Recently, Investigative Journalist, Sharyl Attkisson of the TV news program, Full Measure reached out through a mutual friend to ask if I would talk with her Full Measure team about my decision to opt out of traditional health insurance and opt into Health Care Sharing.
I've admired Sharyl and respected her work for a long time; and had the opportunity to meet and chat with her briefly at the 2016 Manhattan Film Festival showing of VAXXED: From Coverup to Catastrophe. So I was thrilled at the thought of being part of one of her reports and the chance to speak out about an alternative to conventional health insurance, which more people need to learn about.
I was interviewed for a segment entitled “Outside Obamacare” which aired Sunday, February 11th on a number of TV stations; and can be watched anytime on the Full Measure website. I invite you to watch the full segment below. My handsome little co-star and I appear at about the 4:00 minute mark. To watch the entire February 11th episode as well as other Full Measure reports, click here.
If you or someone you know is struggling with high health insurance premiums and/or deductibles and are looking for a more affordable alternative; or if you want to get out of the conventional health insurance paradigm, take a look at health care sharing.
Samaritan Ministries is the Christian health care sharing community that I joined. I've included links to other health care sharing groups at the end of this post; and I encourage you to read my two prior posts on health care sharing: I've cancelled my health insurance and couldn't be happier!!! and Are you ready to cancel your health insurance?
Samaritan Ministries offers a "Basic Plan" starting at $100 per month and a "Classic Plan" starting at $160 per month; and believe it or not, there are times when members monthly shares are reduced because Samaritan had more shares than needs in a prior month! When was the last time your health insurance provider did that? Samaritan also offers a "Save to Share" option, at a cost of $133 to $399 per year, to help members cover needs over $250,000; and when you reach Medicare age, like I have, you can sign up for Medicare Part A only; and continue your Samaritan membership for help with future needs.
Click here to "Calculate your Samaritan Ministries monthly share" and if you decide to join Samaritan, please let them know that I referred you!
Feel free to contact me or reach out to the team at Samaritan. Their warm and friendly customer service reps are knowledgeable and extremely helpful. As I state in my Outside Obamacare interview, "What have you got to lose?"
